“USA Election 2020 - Not voting is not a protest. It is a surrender.” It is Election Day and some Second Life residents are doing their part, not just voting but encouraging others to vote. I love this picture by RyanTailor. It’s heartwarming in a very Norman Rockwell, looking back to a time when people did not wait six hours to vote and social distancing was not something to worry about.
The “I Voted” selfie is the best selfie there is....
Serena Snowfield gives us the best kind of selfie, the “I voted” selfie. I hope to see a lot more all over social media.
Kat Capelo gives us a selfie of another sort, a buttie, maybe. It’s definitely a “cheeky” approach. It reminds me of the women behind “Get Your Booty to the Poll.” It’s fun to see a different approach to GOTV (Get Out the Vote.)
Today is Election Day. If you have not voted, get yourself to the polls. Vote.org has all the information you need to vote in-person or to verify your absentee or vote-by-mail ballots has been received and will count. They also have information on how to “cure” your ballot if it has been disqualified for a mismatched signature. Be sure to check it out and vote.

If you don't like the long lines at the polls then volunteer to be a poll worker. I've been clerking at elections for years. We are always short on workers and I'm sure the same is true across the country. With Covid we needed more workers. One person at my precinct spent the whole day wiping down polling booths with disinfectant.
This isn't the last election ever. Volunteer for the future. It does no good to volunteer a few weeks before the election. There is basic training in the law and procedures required.
