Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
The art on the walls in my first life is mostly abstract or amazing infographics. So Mark Noack’s “She Blinded Me with Science” blows me away. He begins with a SL screenshot or two or three and adds layers from stock sources. This is amazing. Even with the many layers, you can see the leading lines of the path toward the upper right. You can see more of his Second Life work here.
More art that didn’t make a feature but should have.
B3N23’s “Chosen” is a stunning example of what you can achieve with editing. Her screenshot looks more like a woodcut and her entire very small photostream is amazing. She only has thirteen pictures, but I look forward to many more.
This might not be what most people think of as “arty” but Camilla Luponox’s “Not Today” reminds me of the old Dutch masters in the simplicity and subdued colors. I just love it, not just as a piece of art, but also the sly humor.
Second Life is full of great artists. Who are some of your favorites?
