Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
I love Second Life groups that focus on one thing and really do it. With over 200 members, Second Life Avians is just such a group, This picture, “Snowbird,” by Heather Falls, makes me think of a Christmas Card illustration. It’s perfect for a bit of text on the lower right wishing us a Merry Christmas or Season’s Greetings.
More virtual avians to come...
“In the Winter Woods” is another perfect picture for a Christmas Card. I love the bright reds and the way they contrast with all the white and greys of the woods. It was done by Victoria Konnor James.
Ed Rhode’s “Wonders of Winter” is Christmas Card perfection. There’s sweet romance, a suggestion of family, and then the bright red holly berries. I would definitely use this for a Christmas Card.
I love Second Life Avians. I love birds, even though I am allergic to their feathers and cannot enter a pet store. But from a nice safe distance, I love watching them. This group just appeals to my love of birds. It also makes me think next year it might be smart to take a pretty picture in SL and use it for Christmas cards. I should have thought of that sooner.
