Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
It’s really hard to choose the best pictures of the year. Right now I have 30 pictures open from which to winnow. This picture from an April column featuring Kitty Sixpence is an easy choice, though. This is, of course, subjective, but I love pictures that turn reality on its head or maybe, on its side, and give us a different perspective.
The next is one that got me to stop writing and go in-world to check it out.
“A Thousand Windows” from Vivena was featured in October. The idea that every window opened onto unique spaces just blew my mind. I had to go and wander the streets and check out those interiors. It was so much more than I expected.
In March, I featured Yoon. Her “Hello, World” blew me away. Again, I am in love with the pictures that push us to see in new ways.
In February, Asahi Kanzaki introduced me to Kabedon and it was delightful.
I love this picture from Genesis Rodrigues which was featured in August. I love that she included her inspiration.
Second Life gives us so many rich rewards in-world. The friends we make, the ability to support good causes and foster education are wonderful. But I am enamored of the art inspired and created by Second Life residents.

Thank you so much, such a lovely way to begin the New Year for which I wish you all the very best.
Stay safe and thank you for making me smile, will always think of you now when I see that image ♥
