Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
ByteDreams Slade is a blogger at Style Is a Choice who shoots such dramatic photos they are worthy to stand on their own as art. In Style #172, she shows how beautifully a true artist can display the beauty of darker skin with light and shadow. This picture made me think of the Vogue Challenge last year after Anna Wintour apologized for lack of Black representation. In 127 years, only one Black photographer had shot a cover - and only because Beyoncé insisted on it. Their record of featuring Black women on the cover is equally dismal. I was reminded of their failings again last month after they chose a poor picture for Kamala Harris.
Her black and white photos can be so dramatic:
“Silver-haired” shows her with a shock of silver hair that called out for the drama of black and white photography. I love her pose and the elegance of her look. That contemplative looking off into the distance suggests a kind of melancholy which is augmented by her choice of black and white photography.
“Style #169” should be called “Drama.” After all, can it be more dramatic? I love how she used lighting and the backdrop to heighten the drama. Annie Liebowitz, take notes.
ByteDreams Slade shoots great fashion photos and has fabulous style. She actually wears clothing! Be sure to check out her stream for her great style as well as her fabulous photos.
