I discovered Sheldon Bergman by checking out Roseleiya’s favorites. When I paged down and saw “Losing Their Heads for Love”, I laughed out loud. I love how he made the metaphorical literal. His photostream is not very big. There are 31 photos, but all of them are thought-provoking and thoughtful
More thoughtful pictures are up next, click here:
“Stairway to Heaven” made me think of “The Preacher and the Slave” by the late Utah Phillips who was such a resource here in the Pacific Northwest. The tracks leading to Heaven are on a picture held by a woman, not a real road just like the pie in the sky:
You will eat, you will eat, by and by
In that glorious land in the sky, way up high
Work and pray, live on hay
You'll get pie in the sky when you die, that's a lie
“Red Sea” is another literal portrayal of the words. I love how you cannot see the demarcation between the water and the sky except for her reflection. It’s simply stunning.
Absolutely click through to Sheldon Berman’s stream. There are so many stunning pictures that I could have featured. You don’t want to miss Shadow Puppetry and Castitas. Keep your eye on this stream. It is fascinating from first to last.
