Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Selen’s “The Puppet” is eye-catching with its outsized hand that makes the avatar appear tiny, an actual puppet. I love that it is all in yellow, orange, and brown. By limiting the colors, the focus becomes on form more than anything else.

“Soul Messages” is a strange picture. It seems to be underwater, but those are birds. Are they above the water and we see them from below or are they swimming in the water? Do you see the faint signs that melt into the sea? But then there is the man who seems to be floating on the top of the water or is it the sea bottom? Can water have two bottoms? Is this a layer of sea water with another liquid layer, not sea, not air, but something in between? I don’t know and I find it beautiful and fascinating.
“Spider Love” uses CTL-8 to get a bit of fisheye lens distortion and uses high contrast colors to make a striking image that abstracts the individual man and woman into Everyman and Everywoman. It’s a stunning pic.
Selen’s photostream is full of several striking photos. She is very experimental, always looking for new ways of showing our virtual world and interpreting it through light and color.
