Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Abyss Hunts is the name of Abyss Artful’s blog. She describes it this way, “I have been hunting outfits for years piece by piece in SL, mostly shiny ones. Here you will see some Cyberpunk/Role Play/Fantasy/Gothic/Fetish pictures and bold styles.” I appreciate the explanation as the title could be understood to mean freebie hunting. I was very much taken with Time Is a River, The whole woman floating in the water trope has an entirely different context when the woman is a mermaid. I was particularly taken with the hair that flows so beautifully in the water.

“The Guardian” is quite the action picture. She is using an animated backdrop that works perfectly with her cyberpunk avatar and outfit. Several elements of her outfit are at the Cyberpunk Fair ending May 30th.

Abyss Hunts is beautifully organized with a link to her Flickr right at the top of the right hand column along with her archives and tags in drop-down menus. I love the dropdown access as it makes her page look cleaner. The most recent post fills the page width while the older posts are two across. It’s really a lovely design. The only thing I would change is her use of red on black text in the credits. It’s very hard to read and I read it by highlighting the text so it was white on black. The black background suits her cyberpunk, goth, roleplay aesthetic, but perhaps a light turquoise or lime green which might give more contrast to my aging eyes.
