Deux Looks is Gillian Waldman’s fashion blog. Like most people, her focus at the moment is on Hair Fair, the venerable fundraising event for Wigs For Kids. In today’s post, “Next Up from Hair Fair,” she is featuring a beautiful floral headband from Bauhaus. I love how she styled this with a lovely floral dress with fluttery sleeves and floral earrings. Bauhaus is in the Noirette region. Tableau Vivant is in the Blonde region.

Unlike many folks who blog for Hair Fair, Gillian is not packing a dozen styles into one post, but instead decided to feature her favorites. This is her favorite Hair Fair Preview Pick that she found during early access and it’s from Exile which you can find on the Blonde region,

I like Gillian Waldman’s Deux Looks. I like that she takes the time to write about her choices and describe her styling, giving us more than just the credits. Her blog is well organized. She has her social media links on every page. Her Flickr link can be found on her gallery page. She also has a page describing her policies which do set her apart since many people receive promotional copies. I do not agree, though, that receiving promotional items is the reason bloggers seldom mention flaws. I think it is the over-the-top swarm of abuse when a blogger mentions a flaw, even when most of the post is positive. The idea that “if you can’t say anything nice, say nothing at all” has overtaken blogging in SL, so people shy away from controversy and post only credits. I think it is sad, which makes opinionated blogs like Gillian’s all the more worthwhile.
