Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
I love Existence’s photostream. His pictures are incredibly natural and realistic. It sets a mood which is augmented by his choice of music, “Small Light” by Message to Bears. This makes me think of Washington’s Long Beach in January, the very best time to visit as nearly everyone is staying inside so you can almost have the beach to yourself. Of course, it’s not ideal for swimming, but for walking.
I asked him if he had any comments and he demurred, “It just is all about feeling, your mind is a lens and telling a story. Photography that keeps me going forward.Everyone has their own perspective, recognition, or emotion about photography pictures, which makes it unique.”

This picture of Krak Bak Caye just radiates sunshine and heat. The shadows of the palms are so fabulous. It has that same extraordinary sense of place as the first picture. Don’t you just feel as though you are there? Interestingly, even though the only vehicle is a motorbike, it has this vintage feeling, reminding me of those old “Wish You Were Here” postcards.
I love this untitled picture. At first glance, I thought he was looking out at the ocean, but then I looked closer and saw it was a cityscape. His color choice contributed to this ingenious ambiguity. I love how he divides the picture, making it a diptych of sorts. This makes the composition so interesting. In the picture as a whole, both he and the railing are placed by the rule of thirds, but then by splitting the picture, he and the railing are centered. It’s clever and truly beautiful.
His entire photostream is gorgeous with pictures that invoke time and place in beautiful ways. They evoke memories of places visited or ideas of places to visit. There is an aloneness in his pictures, even in the one with another person. But his pictures seem alone, not lonely. You should definitely follow, he never disappoints.
