Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
“Somewhere” appeals to me because after surviving the “Heat Dome” that just fried Portland, I can’t think of a lovelier place to be than on a beach with a lovely ocean breeze, except maybe Antarctica. I love Quinnsley’s ingenuity in taking a couple’s pose and using half of it to get the true swinging pose she wanted. The mood is carefree and casual which is just what the heat doctor ordered.
For an example of saying a lot with a little, click here:
“Rock Lobster” is another beach snap. I love how she has created an entire character without even showing even a glimpse of them. We know she’s a reader because she has not one, but two books and neither of them is exactly a short read. I love how she sees the glasses on top of the books as resembling the big eyes of a lobster, a Rock Lobster, of course. There is such evident humor and personality in this picture and not an avatar in sight.
“Escape” is another example of Quinnsley’s taking a different look at the world. The two pots resting on the rock in the middle of a fairy ring of flowers, though one caused by a rock rather than fungi, seem anthropomorphic. The round designs seem like eyes, the one tipped to the side seems to be smiling as they rest and enjoy the view. I hope they succeed in their escape.
Do check out Quinnsley’s stream. She’s having fun, enjoying the sun, enjoy it with her.
