Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
“Safe” is a sweet picture. It speaks to me of the comfort that comes from looking at pictures of friends and family and sharing those pictures with someone you love. Pictures are such a powerful tool to make the past present, aren’t they. This is by Amberly, whose Flickr stream is also a micro-blog.
This next picture will be lovely and appealing to most of you, though it terrifies me -- click here:

I love this colorful picture of these clever birds. Her earrings, headband, and top are also colorful, though how she keeps the birds from pecking at those earrings baffles me. I do admire birds in the wild and have spent many hours birdwatching in a completely uncompetitive, unofficial way. Sadly, I am allergic to birds and cannot breathe well in their company, so it’s a very distant sort of admiration on my part. However, this picture reminds me I could have a bird as a pet in Second Life.
“Moonlight” is lovely and by desaturating it, she limits the colors and makes it all about the shapes so those branches feel much more evocative. I love the picture and that wolf is beautiful. Since the removal of wolves from the Endangered Species list just eight months ago, their populations have plummeted. At that pace, Animesh may be the only wolves left. I also love how just the moon and a few branches create the mood. It is more an impression of place than an actual representation and seems so much more emotionally powerful that way.
Check out Amberly’s photostream. Her pictures are lovely and are often accompanied by credits, lyrics, quotes, or links to YouTube videos. I like the simplicity of her pictures, with her decor and backgrounds being more a suggestion of place than a complete set piece.
