Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Alexandro Troublemaker is a genius with still life paintings from Second Life. His “Tenderness” is achingly beautiful. I love how the flower branch encircles and embraces the Golden Ratio. I love the gentle breeze that makes the curtains flutter just a bit. The quiet colors with the embracing persimmon red is so lovely and embodies the title, “Tenderness.”

“Blueberry” gives us an aged watercolor where time has exposed the canvas. As before, his colors are disciplined and subtle. He fully converts this screenshot into a digital painting that I can imagine on a wall at Giverny, a gift from one artist to another.
Alexandro does not stay in a box, though. This still life is vibrant, pulsing with wild, exuberant color. The stuffed rabbit in the birdcage adds an absurdist element making this feel surreal. This has the rich colors of oil painting rather than watercolor and you can see that is his intent in the texture layers he chose.
Alexandro Troublemaker’s photostream is so much fun. I had to post a comment, is is life or is it Second Life on his doll picture. I can’t wait to see more.
