Violet Evergarden may be dissatisfied with this homage to artist Francesca Woodman but I love it and think it is an excellent recreation of Woodman’s famous untitled work -- view the original here.
Writes Violet: “The picture has been made entirely in SL, the background textures taken from the photo directly and then pasted on SL objects to recreate the room. It was not an easy process and I'm not happy with how it turned out, but it is the start of a fun project I feel.”

“Fatigue” strikes me as a compelling photo because of its composition. The windows are a counterpoint to the seats and the avatar connects the seats to the windows. The light shines through lines in the opposite direction of the leg it illuminates. It seems such a casual shot on one hand and so deliberate on the other.
”Sweltering” is such a mood. I love how displeased she seems. Sometimes we just feel ornery and I love that we get this emotional feeling from it. I mean, if you’ve ever sat in a pickup waiting in the summer heat, you will have felt this mood.
Definitely click and follow Violet Evergarden. She shoots such interesting pictures, full of mood and story. I am eager to see more of her homage photos as well. I think she does a great job.
