Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Gihn is one of those people who create the elements that we use to landscape our homes and her Flickr is mostly shots to market her lovely creations, but thankfully, she doesn’t put her branding on her pictures, so we get to enjoy them as art as well as commerce. Hydrangea season is over here, but in Second Life, these showy, lush flowers are in season all year round.
This picture of “Black Forest Plateau” almost had me bypassing this stream because I saw it and thought it was going to be real life nature photography. Little did I know! Isn’t this extraordinary? It’s like something out of Arizona Highways magazine.
“Papaver alby (Poppy” is another great example of a floral photo. What I like so much about this is that the poppies are not a monochromatic orange. There is the subtle fading from the sun that makes them look so much more lifelike. They are only missing the bees that seem to be buzzing around anytime I am around poppies.
Gihn’s stream is an excellent collection of nature pictures. That they are also pictures of flora she sells is just a bonus. Her in-world store is here. I love the way she composes her pictures. They are simple, without distracting elements, but artfully composed to draw our eyes.

I have been a big fan of Gihn's work for a couple of years now. Everything Gihn makes is perfection. Thank you to New World Notes for giving Gihn this recognition.
