Thyme Carter is fascinated by water. If I were into astrology, I would assume she is a water sign. This fascination is deeply explored in her photostream. She named this “You had me at a point where I would have left the entire world behind for you.” When I think about this picture and the text, I think of a woman who has wised up. She’s over her head and treading water, but she’s no longer swept away by a rip tide. She looks tired, but not exhausted. She will garner her strength and swim back to safety. Her musical inspiration of Billie Eilish’s "Happier Than Ever" reinforces that message.

I like the angle of this picture. She’s lazing with a cigarette and glancing down toward the viewer. This is one of the few pictures that is not in or next to the ocean, but it still has her keen eye for what makes an interesting picture. Musical inspiration is "Fruit" by Abra.
“Maybe one day we'll finally learn to love ourselves and stop apologizing for the things that make us who we are” is a wise aspiration. She captures that emotion with her relaxed pose. She seems to not have a care in the world. She provides a link to the album I Need Space by Mounika. The lyrics of the first song simply say “Since you’ve gone” so I am sensing a theme.
Thyme Carter has only forty pictures in her stream and nearly all of them are in or near the water. I think her water is extraordinarily life-like and she confirmed she uses the Black Dragon viewer and its in-viewer pose system which is so well-suited to Second Life photography. You should check her out. Her work is extraordinary and is successful at conveying emotional content within the physical context of her pictures.
