Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Burleh Leonard takes fabulous landscape shots of his travels in Second Life. This is a great example of his style, shooting from a low angle that adds a fresh perspective. I love the angle. He adds an aged look with an overlay that frames the picture. It’s gorgeous. You can see this site from any angle by visiting the Whispering Winds sim, click here.

This picture for Tonarino is an even more extreme example of reframing a picture to get a new perspective. He clicked on the flower using depth of field to blur the rest of the picture. It is just a picture of railroad tracks but because he is shooting from ground level, suddenly the rails feel like canyon walls. To visit in person, click here.
“Darya” is another ground-level picture. This time the mushrooms seem like a forest. He used the shared lighting of the sim, Darya. The link is here. I love how he gives us such fresh eyes on the world.
Burley Leonard’s photostream is a delight for sim travelers. There are many wonderful pictures and not all of them are from the point-of-view of an ant or ladybug. There are some beautiful panoramic pictures as well. I just wanted to highlight how well he explores the smaller world inside the larger one.
