Scylla Rhiadra’s “Low Beam” is a perfect example of her fascination with light. The light from the headlights creates a sort of penumbra, outlining the edges. It’s beautiful and I love that she avoids too much symmetry by having a railroad track on the right and just a road on the left.

“Inside My Sweater” is fascinating and extraordinary. I love the idea of capturing the light coming through the open weave of a sweater. It’s brilliant. I love this fresh and exciting idea.
"La Couturière" is an homage to her great-grandmother. Of course, she uses light beautifully. Here is a Google translation of her text:
"Until 1931, my great-grandmother lived on rue Chabot in Montreal, in a rented room at the back of a large house belonging to a banker and his family. During the day, she worked in the making of dresses for Ida Desmarais, who had settled on Sherbrooke Street West. And at night, she made dresses at home. Beautiful dresses! She was a very elegant woman. I think the noise of her sewing machine eventually caused her to be kicked out of her apartment, but at least she looked fine. "
For an extraordinary exploration of light in Second Life pictures, you should definitely follow Scylla Rhiadra. She organizes her pictures into several albums, some of which are featured in galleries in-world. For example, there is “Aunt Winnie in 1920’s Berlin” which chronicles her great-great-aunt’s five years in Berlin during the 20s and “What the Light Saw” which is just exactly the kind of exploration of light that sets her apart.
