Eyes Kirschtaria’s “Christmas Costume Party” is something out of a graphic novel. His work features a lot of roleplay and anime, but this costume party Christmas is so joyful and full of joie de vivre. Their similar costumes make me think of superheroes, like a Phenomenal Five. The background is full of moons and Christmas trees. I love the abundance of it.
For a very different take on Christmas, click here:
“Christmas Warrior” offers up a very different idea of Christmas. All the trees are there ready to be decorated, but look off to the upper right, there is a menacing figure, perhaps a Christmas-tree-eating monster. The fearless Christmas Warrior draws the biggest sword that ever was to defend the trees from the monster. The red light outlining the sword, the deep, blood red suit, all are seasonal colors. It’s bold, and boldness is necessary to save Christmas.
On a lighter note, “Rick and Morty” is a great homage to the sitcom. Again, it is a joyful and exuberant picture. It’s full of light and movement and that centrifugal design that is so common with Japanese Second Life artists with avatars floating among design elements circling, as in a whirlwind. There is always such attention to detail.
I love the energy of Eyes Kirschtaria’s photostream. His photos are magical, full of fun and energy. It seems he has a lot of friends and a lot of fun in his Second Life.
