Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Aurelia von Troubles posted this sample from a recent exhibit of her work. The project is called My Seven and this particular picture is “Wrath”, one of the seven deadly sins. They occupy Dante’s Fifth Circle of Hell. Dante saw wrath as the desire for justice perverted to a desire for revenge. Her epaulets suggest her wrath began with justice or at least the approval of society. Her legs are scratched and covered in mud, fitting for those who eternally drown in the River Styx. She is Wrath embodied.

“Love Is a Losing Game” suggests love may be a game of strategy, a battle of wit and will fought by the white and black players until one is defeated. However, the avatar is dressed in both white and black. Does that mean she cannot win or cannot lose. Will the game of love be a perpetual draw?
“Secret Love Song” is an excellent example of how little is needed to spark an emotion or suggest a story. We have the water, a knee, and a hand, and the solid plane of a chair. That’s it. There are no colors, just this monochromatic picture, but it still conjures sunlight, a fresh ocean breeze, sand, and heat. We can paint in everything not shown.
Aurelia von Troubles’ photostream has several pictures that are highly conceptual, designed to convey an idea. She also has several fashion looks that show her avatar in everything from western wear to lingerie. All her pictures are excellent. She is well worth following.
