Iolande Weidman, aka Rania Adjani, shoots some of the most extraordinarily beautiful aesthetic nudes.
So when I saw “Naked” I snort-laughed, because it reveals such a great sense of humor behind the avatar. Ah, yes, when the notorious nipples are printed on a shirt, they are perfectly safe, unlike their appearance, however, subtly and carefully shot in her other pictures.

I love how she made a second layer, enlarged it, and screened it over the original which is semi-transparent over the waves. It’s a beautiful effect and gives this picture a haunting sort of melancholy.
Iolande shoots amazing nude photos. She uses black and white which keeps our focus on form. The body becomes a landscape of light and shadow. While many of her pictures are nudes, they are aesthetic nudes that never stray toward prurience. This one appealed to me because I think her humor was peaking through again. Her nipples are hidden by her hands, but her rings, don’t they make you think of something? No wonder she named it “Details.” It seems to me she is again tweaking the absurdity of our attitude toward female breasts, particularly nipples, when male nipples are no big deal.
Iolande’s photostream is one great picture after another. I loved every one of them and struggled to choose just three. You definitely should explore her stream and follow her for yourself.
