Today's Flickr Pick: Wry & Rousseau-Like Images Created by Bianca in Second Life

Bianca’s “Who’s Crying Now” is accompanied by Journey’s “Who’s Crying Now?” and she has the sassy, I-figured-it-out look that might ask that question. It’s a lovely pic with plants and a ladder shelf, and I like the bold, rich colors.

I love “Woman.” my favorite of her pictures, I think. It reminds me slightly of Henri Rousseau. It’s not that her work looks like Rousseau, but that she has his love of rich greens and foliage. The clean edges is also something you see in Rousseau’s work.

Her “Starry Night” seems like wry social commentary. At least her cat is enjoying the moonlit show. Is she suggesting we spend too much time looking at screens and too little seeing what is right outside our windows? If so, she may be right. 

Bianca’s Photostream is filled with slice-of-life pictures and some headshots. I most enjoy the pics of her wandering SL or lazing with her Sphinx cat. She generally has a musical soundtrack for her pics. There is a wry sense of humor in many of her pics, too, which makes her stream great fun.
