Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Maia Lyre’s “Back to School 2021” is seven months old but it was new to me. I am always impressed by group shots that have more than a few people. How do they get them all to render? Of course, with SL, you don’t have the impromptu sneeze and you ask people not to blink and they can turn blinking off. The weeping angels would never be a threat in Second Life. In the description, she explains this is a pic of the cast of a Back-to-School movie by Lia Oakleaf that I just had to watch and so should you. [Click here to watch.] She is having fun by hanging out and doing things with people and her stream is full of that.

Maia named this picture “Love” and I can’t help but wonder if she’s referring to the man or the coffee. I mean, if it’s early in the morning, what would you think?
She also has a few head shots and this is a favorite. Called “Pink” for obvious reasons, I love the pose that has the glasses pulled forward to show the eyes. Her arm is bent and echoes the shape of the glasses. It’s a great example of how much more control and subtlety you find in today’s poses as well as a great shot.
Maia Lyre’s photostream is full of people hanging out together and having fun which is really what Second Life promises us all.
