Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Vrir Resident has done some great homage photos, including this fabulous “Le fils de l’homme” in honor of Rene Magritte. He includes a link to a joyful song by De Nieuwe Snaar called Rene Magritte. [click here] This an extraordinary recreation of Magritte’s most famous painting “The Son of Man” which was a self-portrait as this is.

The title is “Ceci N'est Pas Un Magritte” which means “This is Not a Magritte” and it isn’t. It looks like a recreation of “Not to be Reproduced” (thumbnail at right) which also shows the back of the man’s head as his reflection.
While Vrir has only begun his series honoring Rene Magritte (a hint that I hope there will be more) it’s not the first of his pictures referencing him.
Back in 2018, by the way, Vrir took a snap in a house overlooking the ocean and filtered it to look like a sketch and called it “I feel like I swallowed a Magritte.” In the description, he elaborated, “Like on the inside, I'm made of clouds and floating eyes, green apples, and slowly rising men in bowler hats.”
Vrir also shot a couple pics in honor of “The Queen’s Gambit,” the fabulous Netflix series about a woman taking the very masculine chess world by storm. I love the intensity of her eyes as she leans forward to make her move. It really does capture the feeling of the character.
Vrir Resident has a striking photostream with lots to explore. You will want to check it out at home or on your own tablet or phone as there are some erotic pictures. He also did a gorgeous tribute to Alberto Vargas. There’s also a Batman carrying home Christmas presents in the snow. Vrir is having fun and it shows.
