Madoka Kawabata’s “Wild Mood Swings” is such fun. I love how she takes the verb and thinks of it as a noun, making an abstract idea concrete and exploring what it would look like. Browsing her stream is entertaining just for the humor of the picture titles, but when you add the fabulous pictures, well, you have a winner.
I like the faded, aged look of it all. It’s also lovely that she includes the SLurl. Madoka’s photography is mostly about her exploration of Second Life. In many photos, she has made a point of sitting on the various chairs and other objects with sit poses. This consistent theme adds a richer subtext to her pictures, unifying very different pictures in a singular obsession with sitting.

“I am so sick of ‘I Love Lucy’' is another delightful picture. I love how balanced the picture is with the subject placed perfectly according to the Golden Mean. The title cracks me up, but I am arrested by the perfect composition -- take a look:
“By the light of an alien moon” has her enjoying a beautiful moonlit night with the moon reflected on the water. It is beautifully romantic and captures her exploring spirit. Look:
I love how Madoka explores sims, sitting on the various sit objects, the cars, the benches, the newspaper stands, etc. It’s a different way to explore and really puts her inside the sim’s particular aesthetic.
You should definitely follow Madoka Kawabata. Her pictures are fun and she provides SLurls so you can find the sims yourself. She sometimes references music in her titles and will mention the song when she does. Her descriptions are fun to read because sometimes she explains a little more about her thoughts when taking the picture.
