Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Rwah Yeetly’s “Vibes” is well-named. Her entire photostream has a modernist, pop art vibe and this picture is a great example of what she loves to do. She saturates her colors and desaturates the more neutral tones and then adds layers with text and texture. I love the way she suggests an entire lifestyle, hip and a bit outré in the best possible way. She is a leader, not a follower.

“Laundry Day 2072” made me laugh because of course, we will still have laundry and it will still be a hurry up and wait kind of tedium, even for the transhumanist future. I just love how she captures both the future possibilities and the things that never change. The pose could have been from 1992 rather than 2072. It’s just so inventive.
“Perfection” is the picture that grabbed my attention the hardest. I could not look away or browse past without pausing to admire the brilliant colors and the boldness. The open eye is riveting and frightening both. The flowered headdress may be a nod to Frida Kahlo, but in a surreal, inverse sort of way. I love it, but then I love pop art and abstract art. This is right up my alley.
Rwah Yeetly’s photostream is small, but it is mighty. There are only twenty-five pictures and they are all good. I focused on her more avant pictures. She has much more natural pictures as well, including gorgeous portraits and slice of life pics.
