Kia Kiyori hitchhikes through Second Life, snapping what she see. This untitled picture captures another sign of spring, baby animals. In this case, she snapped some baby pigs who are intently checking out a robin. Pigs are among the smartest animals, smarter than dogs and make fine pets. They sure are cute as piglets. I love how Kia used depth of field, sharpening the focus on the bird they are watching. I also love the way she gives the SLurl if you want to visit yourself: “Hitchhiker's Guide to Nelipot”

In “They Know,” Kia is certain that SL animals know when you’re going to take their picture. I know the feeling. Anytime I try to take a picture of my cat that is perfectly charming, she moves right when I have it exactly right. I swear she laughs at me. In Kia’s picture, I bet that bird on the left is giggling inside. And again, the link to teleport is adorable: Hitchhiker's Guide to La Vallee
In “Sakura Tales” by using depth of field so the boat is in focus and the orca is not, she gives the impression that the orca just happened to breach at that moment, a complete surprise. A bit of photography luck. Here link is not part of the Hitchhiker’s Guide this time, but is a much more direct “Take me there.”
As a fan of the book, I loved her SLURL references to the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I hope she has read it. Kia Kiyori’s photostream has lots of vendor pics for her shape store, but it is sprinkled with these fabulous travel pics. She has a predilection for honing in on a small detail and creating a picture that captures the feeling of a place, a much more emotional connection to the site than a snap of some grand vista.

This is very kind of you - thank you. I do indeed "have a predilection for honing in on a small detail". Isn't it maddening? haha
