Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
While scrolling through Facebook, I came upon this picture featuring one of the Shelbys from Peaky Blinders, the critically-acclaimed series on Netflix. I confess I have not watched it because the commercials look so depressing. Still, it is frequently suggested as something I would like. I sure like this picture from Eddy who is also new to me. His stream is worth a column of its own, especially as he seems to like doing movie poster pics in SL. But the Peaky Blinders theme seemed intriguing. Did other people do homage to Peaky Blinders in Second Life?
Yes, yes they did. For more, click here:
This one from Kimmy Clementine has such a cinematic feeling. Shot from below and on a diagonal, you can almost imagine someone lying on the stable floor listening.
Here is a still from a Second Life trailer (watch below) by Candido Ferraris with a group of people paying homage to characters from the show:
For fans of Red Dead Redemption, someone also made a trailer [To wach click here] in that program.
This picture from Fran Claster has me thinking the story might be more interesting than it appeared in its trailers. This tells a story I want to know more about.
This pic from Gorba Macmahon is particularly striking with its sepia tone and the aging edges of the picture. There is a real sense of menace here.
We can’t see his face, perhaps because it’s on the wanted poster in the background. I really love how Hilaire Beaumont gives us that one brilliant flash of light off the metal on his hat.
Primo Mio gives us a more authentic face, perhaps. It’s bruised and battered. He’s been through it, looks exhausted, but is still standing.
So Second Life loves Peaky Blinders. There is even was a Peaky Blinders sim for a while but I checked it out and it’s gone now. But have no fear, Second Life can have more than one sim dedicated to the show. Here is Garrison Lane & Wilson in 1920s Birmingham including a bar. [Teleport SLURL here] It turned out there were so many pictures, I made a gallery of those I found. [Peaky Blinder in SL, click here]
