Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Hani shoots lovely pictures of herself at work and play in Second Life. “All night long, in my beloved laboratory” shows Hani at work. She seems to be doing some experiments in botany. I love the detail here, particularly the partially raised glasses. Sometimes they just get in the way, don’t they?

Holi is a popular Hindu holiday celebrating the arrival of Spring. [For more info, click here.] In addition to prayer, participants play and frolick with colored powders, tossing the powder on each other in clouds of color. In recent years, American and European secular Holi-like events have become popular, divorced from its religious content, it has become a feature in 10k runs and summer fairs. Here we see Hani in the midst of clouds of colored powder. Holi was March 18th and the pic is from March 19th, so an illustration of the actual holiday and not a secular “borrowing.” It’s both lovely and chaotic, and looks like a lot of fun.
“All Nighter” reveals that Hani is interested in painting as well as botany and religious celebrations. She needed a big stretch after a long night of work. Hani obviously can get so deeply into her painting that she works through the night.
I love slice-of-life photos and Hani has quite a variety, from dancing to celebrating, art to botany, she is interested in it all. Be sure to follow this very active SLer.
