Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Matrix Spirit’s recent snap of him riding a horse into a river is a great illustration of how far Second Life horses and pose-making have come. Look at him holding his hat, using it to urge the reluctant horse further into the river. Look at the wide eyes on the horse, afraid to step on an uneven riverbed he cannot see. You just know there are rocks there. I love that our pictures can be so much more expressive now.

Here he is riding his bike and if you follow his stream at all, you will know this is his most natural habitat. There are so many pics of him biking, or in this case, doing some off-road racing. It looks like he’s paused for a moment to survey the next bit of trail before tackling it. I love how naturally he’s leaning toward the direction he will go when he resumes.
The rainbow suggests it may have been storming. I imagine it being one of those hot, sultry days that are impossibly muggy. The only thing you can feel is lethargy and you can’t even cool off by swimming because there’s heat lightning and finally, it breaks into rain that cools and refreshes. The rain stops and it’s safe to swim and the moment you hit the water after the storm is about as good as life gets.
Matrix Spirit’s photostream is full of energy and good times in Second Life. Most of his pictures are of him doing something, often riding his motorcycles. But he’s also playing guitar, swimming, riding horse, and romancing. Occasionally, there are pics that are simply hilarious, for example, this commentary on the overwhelming rush of social media. He is definitely worth following, if we can only keep up with his energy.
