Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
I love this picture from Mimosa Spring so much. Blue and yellow are complementary colors in the four-color process used in printing. To learn more about the subtractive CMYK model (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) click here. They are always so gorgeous together, just ask the Swedish and Ukrainian flags. This is a masterful use of color. Like a good SL traveler, Mimosa also provides a SLURL. [SLURL]

“Delicatessen in the moonlight” is a sim designed by Meilo Minotaur who was interviewed several years ago for New World Notes. [Click here for interview.] Mimosa brought her own artistry to shooting the installation, giving it a new color story that is vibrant and bold. I love this. Note, too, how well she uses the Rule of Thirds in this picture. [SLURL]
Another stunning landscape. I love the decrepit feeling of the walkways that are close to submerged in high tide. They remind me of the floating docks. I have always felt like I needed to walk extra fast to get off them before they tip, even though my head knows they won’t tip. This feels like late in the day, just before the blue hour, when all the world is perfect. [SLURL]
Mimosa Spring is new to me. I found her by looking at Rule Binder’s faves. I’m glad I did, her landscapes are captivating. She also has some excellent avatar pics that are full of life, but I was caught up in her landscapes. I love that she provides SLURLs for her pictures. It’s so considerate and lets those who appreciate her work go to see the sim as it comes naturally - which really lets us see more clearly what she adds with her creative vision.
