Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Luciferina is completely new to me and she takes my breath away. Her pictures of her avatar are just amazing flights of fancy. I imagine her thinking, “what would happen if…” and then creating it. What if a woman wore a skirt made of balls and what if… I love the bold colors. And this might be just coincidental, but with the clouds above and below, the body and the moon make two vertical lines that combined make me think of the Gemini symbol ♊. I know that’s probably a bridge too far, but surreal pics like this stimulate the imagination and sometimes wild ideas.

“Silueta” created a gorgeous silhouette with backlighting and a transparent umbrella. The skeleton of the umbrella is dotted with light. It’s a look at something as pedestrian as a woman holding an umbrella can be transformed by the imagination.
“Portrait” is a fabulous homage to contemporary artists like Melinda Copper or the several Victorian artists who painted zoomorphic paintings of animals in fancy dress, most famously “Dogs Playing Poker.” I think she did such a great job, what with the flowers on her head, draped around the horns and her very Victorian dress.
Luciferina has only 49 pictures in her stream and every one is worth featuring and spending time with. She describes herself as a hermit, explaining that in solitude she can touch the sky. If solitude is what stimulates her incredible imagination, she needs a hermitage.
