* SK * Hawat @ Engine Room is a recent post at Blue a blog by Kai Wirsing. I love the steampunk sensibility and the adorable zebra cat. A much more compliant cat than I have. I can barely get her to let me put her collar on. I just love his cravat. It is so lush. Most items are at the Engine Room event which starts on the 20th. For more info on the event and the teleport link when it opens, click here.

-DRD- Rustic Laundry @ FLF is a post featuring items from the Fifty Linden Friday 13th birthday event a few weeks back. But just remember, the items will still be at the store at regular prices. I love the idea of an outdoor laundry. Wouldn’t that be more fun except when it’s raining or snowing or windy... I remember how wonderful sheets and towels dried on the line would smell. When it’s freezing cold in Minnesota, you can freeze dry your laundry. By the time you put the last of the wet clothes on the line, the first ones are already frozen and will be dry when you take them in an thaw them out. Anyway, I want an outdoor laundry.

Blue is a fun blog with great pictures. He has the important information about himself along the sidebar but far too far down below all the stores and events he blogs for. He should promote himself with either an about page or moving his social media links higher so his fans can follow him on Flickr and Facebook. I like that he gives the opening and closing dates for events. It keeps folks from searching for items in the wrong place. He doesn’t provide links to stores which is fine, but then I wish he would name the creator so I can check the profile and find their store. I also think when bloggers use the creators’ store acronyms like [A], they should spell out that it means Architect. Because after all, if the event is over, folks will have to go to the mainstore to look, so we might need a hint on how to find it. If they use the creators’ names, however, it is not so vital. I think those tweaks would be helpful because otherwise, I love the creativity and joy that is present in his blog.
