Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Rikutojam RG@E’s “The Summer Twilight” is the trippiest picture I have seen on Second Life Flickr. His most recent pic (see below) caught my eye and I started browsing his stream and BAM! Suddenly, my head swam and I had vertigo. I didn’t think I could get vertigo from a picture, but I have gone back and looked at this pic five times now and every time, my head swam and my eyes rolled in my head. It needs a warning label. Still, how cool is it that there is a picture that can do that? Perhaps it’s because it’s not just on an angle, but that he is looking up as well? I am curious. Have any of you had an involuntary physical reaction to a SL picture?

“Go for Broke” probably could make a person feel hungry. Spaghetti and meatballs does sound kind of good. I was drawn in by the plenitude in this pic, an emotional reaction but not a physical one. I like the way he cropped this to suggest other people at the table, probably fellow card-players, but without showing them. He was able to take a solo picture that suggests a group. Neat.
“Sakurasaku Cherry Blossoms Are Blooming” is a picture that just makes me go “awwww.” It’s sweet and endearing with such innocence and youthful passion. I love how the couple are framed by the wall, tree branches, and the stop light. Everything is pastel except that bold red in the stop light. Did you notice the heart?
Rikutojam RG@E’s stream is a mix of just having fun pics with some role play Some pics are just wild and I would love to know the backstory. For example, this picture of folks fleeing from a fire. Google Translate and Wikipedia helped. It’s the arson of a red light district in the 17th century, but the doll I don’t understand. For more info about Yoshiwara, the red-light district, click here.
