Bradlee is a superb Twitter account for anyone excited by the potential and creative community of VRChat, but for that very reason, is wondering which user-made VRChat worlds among
tens of thousands they should visit first.
That's where
Bradlee's Twitter comes in. It was inspired by explorations with his his friend Juno, who he met in VRChat.
"Eventually I decided to share them on Twitter cuz I want people to also be able to see these worlds and make them hopefully go visit them or make them want to explore themselves," he tells me. (VRC name: Bradlee101.)
His Twitter stream is full of photos from his travels through VRChat, so I asked him to recommend five of his favorite worlds here. Read on for those, with links for directly teleporting to them in VRChat, along with his tips for exploring the platform:
"The author of this world put an incredible amount of work and care into this world and its animations. It is also compatible with the Quest, allowing everyone to enjoy this wonderful world."
"By the end of this map, the otherworldliness of the map made me contemplate the story of everything I had just gone through. It really felt like the author was trying to tell a story with so many things nestled in this world. I want to go back and bring friends so that I can ask them what their thoughts on it are too." pics from Bradlee in this Tweet.)
"It's a world I enjoy and also like taking people to if they haven't been to the world. It is exactly what it sounds like, it's a ball pit that interacts with your avatar, and it's just fun to mess around in there. There's a setting to mess around the gravity of the balls, the world also has Audio link feature where it affects the emissions light on your avatar and the balls and syncs it to the music. It's a silly world that I like."
"It's a really peaceful world with nice relaxing music and sound effects. I always enjoy just sitting in this world, listening to the music and just watching the snow particles fall from the sky."
"This has always been a really fun climbing map for me. It is one of my go-to worlds when I want to kill some time. I also like to help people that are struggling with the climbing system. The way the map has me helping other people, I've made some really good friends here."
Here's how he finds these worlds in the first place:
"I always take my time to look through the Community Labs [and option in the VRC viewer], because that's usually where the newest uploads are and it's mostly me just looking at the thumbnails or reading the descriptions not a real fancy process to it and then checking out the 'random, recently uploaded' and the New tab and I always try to make sure I show worlds that people can get to or have a way to get to them because I want them to enjoy the world like I am."
