“House on Haunted Hill” from My SL Reflections seems a perfect Halloween picture with its orange and black theme and the slightly decrepit old Victorian home with a wrought iron fence and the bare trees, their silhouettes black and menacing. There are even bat shadows cast on the moon! It’s so perfect it inspired me to look for other SL haunted houses.

Silver Haven’s “Haunted House” has such cinematic lighting, the house is shadow, the moonlight illuminating the cemetery in the front yard. On the far left there is a frightening detail, two bright eyes looking on from the trees. It’s so tiny that at first I thought I had something on my screen and tried to clean it off. Then I enlarged the picture and wiggled it around. It’s definitely something in the trees. Something spooky! I love the lighting on this pic and the off-center angle. [To teleport, click here.]
The official Second Life Haunted House tour starts off with a spooky manor and then takes residents for a ride. Quadrapop took the tour and created an album of snaps along the route with an album of 125 photos plus this video at the starting point. These are all raw snaps from the default view.
Whether taking official tours or heading off to explore on your own, Luane Meo proffered good advice last year. “Caution! Enter at your own risk.”
