Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Sare’s photostream has remarkable verisimilitude. The pictures look like they are stills from a movie, a gothic movie like Jane Eyre or Northanger Abbey. Romantic-looking women staring out to see are the grist of gothic. I love how the picture is divided between the earth and the air and water in a nearly perfect diagonal line. The composition is exquisite. This was taken at Birdlings Flat. [To teleport, click here.]

“A stutter” is another picture suited for a gothic novel cover, though a contemporary gothic going by her clothing. The fog is rising, she is waiting, looking out and waiting. Still, there’s a story there and a mystery. [To teleport, click here.]
“There is always hope” is another cinematic picture, perhaps during the London Blitz. She made this to protest the war in Ukraine. [To teleport, click here.]
Sare’s photostream is full of wonderful pictures, not all leaning toward the noir. Many are sunny, happy pictures, but these pics struck me as just perfect for a book cover. When I was in junior high, I was addicted to gothic novels and still retain a solid memory of the genre.
