Yoli’s “Follow me down where the waters run deep. I’ll let you drown in the worst of me” is beautiful to look at, but the title suggests some malice that we can’t quite see. Still, just looking at the picture, we know there is a story there. Perhaps this is a female Narcissus, so drawn to her own reflection she drowns. However, there is a bit too much movement in the water, the reflection must be distorted or is that the “worst bof me.” The picture is inspired by Joy Oladukun’s “Breathe Again.” Click here to listen.

Yoli loves roleplay and photography and brings them together perfectly in very realistic pictures such as “I know darkness….and it knows me.” She noted that she used a recent skin release creating a “flu face” and of course, a flu face works perfectly to suggest a face after a battle. The picture is inspired by Avi Kaplan’s “It knows me.” Click here to listen.
“Someone make me feel alive and shatter me” is her interpretation of the lyrics of Lindsey Stirling’s “Shatter Me.” This is such a fascinating picture. Her picture
Yoli’s photostream is full of stunning pictures inspired by music. There is a bleakness running through the lyrics but it is belied by the beauty of the pictures. I love her experimentation as in the picture with the glass.
