Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Is there a song you used to love but have come to dislike because it is played over and over and over again? I feel the same way about Second Life photo cliches. There’s nothing wrong with them, they might even be excellent, but they aren’t exciting because they have been done too many times. To make it a bit more fun, it’s in the form of a Bingo game. Sadly, I am certain everyone will often hit Bingo before they hit Page Down.
Some notes on these tropes:
- "Arms too short". Strawberry Singh pointed out that your arms need to be long enough for, ahem, good personal hygiene.
- "Impossibly small heads with implausibly large hips and thighs." Men tend to do the same thing, but with biceps.
Most of these things are wrong in and of themselves, they have just worn out their welcome from overuse. Right now, a simple shot of someone wearing jeans and a sweater would be exciting. There are a few common shape mistakes, though, that really just require people to think in terms of proportion.
And now, I am not going to link to specific examples. Though to be completely honest, I have filled in a few Bingo spots in pics on my own stream.

I admit to being guilty of a couple of these. Hilarious idea. : )

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Now I know I'm not the only one.

LOL. Now I feel happy because I know I'm not the only one who thinks this about disproportionate avatars. Very small heads, tiny hands, gigantic breasts, arms so short they make the avatar look like a Tyrannosaurus Rex, hips so wide I keep thinking that if the avatar got menstruated could use a double mattress as a sanitary pad.
