Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Letargo Corvinus’ photostream is fun. I like how he has subdued color except for one or two that really pop. Take this one, the picture is desaturated except for his jacket. It makes the jacket the focal point which it fully deserves to be. The title is “Misery” so perhaps Letargo doesn’t like to dress up.

From debonair to edgy, Letargo commits to a look. In this pic “So ready,” the pops of color are behind him which might seem counter-intuitive, except the colors frame him and lift him out of the background where his black outfit and tattoos would disappear.
“Veilchenblau,” according to Google, means Violet Blue. I think this is a scary pic, a very scary pic. If Rasputin had horns, he would look like this. This use of dark and light is reminiscent of Caravaggio, though of course far more modern.
I love the way Letargo uses color. I love the contrasts. His use of chiaroscuro is brilliant.

Photography is not only about capturing moments but also about expressing emotions, perspectives, and narratives through visual elements. Letargo's style of photography seems to achieve this goal effectively by using color and composition to evoke specific feelings and thoughts.
