Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Geoff Quinnell’s stream was recommended by Robin@NW who wrote “Reminiscent of hand tinted, vintage post cards.”
Yes, that is exactly what his pictures remind me of. They appear to be painted rather than photographed, a result of the practiced use of filters and overlays. Of course, the composition with the bridge leading your eyes to the lighthouse which is positioned with the Golden Ratio is the most important element in the composition.

I love how he has framed this so the scarecrow seems to be part of the line of trees. I can imagine those trees going off to the left, planted twenty feet apart for a good 200 feet. But not to the right, that scarecrow is the end of the line, like an exclamation mark!
Now this is definitely a vintage travel postcard, perhaps Cabot Cove is on the other side of that bluff. It may look peaceful to you, but at least one person a week is getting murdered in the vicinity. Probably a few will be pushed off the cliff.
Geoff Quinnell’s stream is a collection of gorgeous vintage travel postcards from Second Life. He sees the beauty of SL and presents it in a world before computers and color photography. It’s the best kind of nostalgia. Like a good traveler, he provides teleport links to the places he visits. He also opened an art gallery and music club only a month ago, so perhaps drop in for a visit. [Teleport to Club Indigo, click here]
