Kayd, according to his profile, has been in Second Life for 15 years but only recently joined Flickr (although he was taking pictures all along).

About 25 years ago or so, I bought this lovely print as a gift for a friend. It said, “You’ve got to sing like you don’t need the money / Love like you’ll never get hurt / You’ve got to dance like nobody’s watchin’ / It’s gotta come from the heart if you want it to work.” It’s a song lyric from “Come From the Heart” which was written by Susanna Clark and Robert Leigh. Her husband Guy Clark sings it with her in this video. It’s such a lovely sentiment and great advice.
I love how KAYD portrayed that idea of freeing yourself by being true to yourself in this picture. It combines the wisdom of the lyrics with a puckish sense of humor. Again, I love his lighting and the incongruous tutu makes the picture.
“Stormy Weather” is a sempieternal picture. With his clothing, he could be from any time in the last century or so. He holds himself as if he is suffering from grief or despair. The weather reflects his feelings though he is sheltered by the umbrella. His pose makes me think he’s at a cemetery but he isn’t. The background looks like several people at a Seurat beach in France.
Kayd’s photostream is extraordinary. He has beautiful black and white photos, many that are thoughtful and creative. He also shoots color pics that are equally delightful. Lots of his pictures feature his dogs having fun and playing around with him. One of my favorites, though, is a pic of him embracing his inner child in his dreams. I love that he does not take himself to seriously. For the folks looking for men’s fashions, he also lists credits on his fashion posts.
