Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Molly’s “Oh Honey Child” was inspired by Melody Gordot’s “Morning Sun”. It’s a perfect match of image and lyrics: “That morning sun is here to greet us / With a loving light, so warm / That morning sun is here to meet us.” I love the warmth of this picture. The bright flare of the sun off the van while she stares into the distance “waiting on the waking up of everyone.”

“No Moon at All” Is a fabulous picture with the riverboat in the background. I love the way his head is down in shadow. It’s a great way to show off the fedora, the point of the picture. There is such mystery in how the man is posed. I love how their clothes are coordinated without matching. It’s a gorgeous pic.
“Can’t Help Looking Back” is another song-inspired picture. This time her inspiration was “Runaway” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It fits the lyric, “Was feeling sad. Can't help looking back. Highways flew by.” The picture succeeds in projecting a feeling of loss and vulnerability. It’s shot at a sharp angle and it works this time, successfully suggesting movement. The way the light from the building echoes the rear lights of the car is such a great touch, especially with the lights reflected on the street which must be slightly damp.
Molly’s photostream is full of well thought-out and beautifully composed pictures. Her avatar is seldom looking at the camera, often staring off into the distance or looking back. They are all in very different situations with very different emotional affect, but always with beautiful lighting that heightens the effect of the picture on the viewer. I have to add, too, that she has a puckish sense of humor. Thanks, Alicia, for the tip.
