Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
GoddessWhispers [Prettyflower Vale] has created a few abstracts in her feed that make me want more. Take this one from 2019, “Abstract: Gazing Through The Ice” has these deep, rich blues and greens in which we can discern shapes such as the trees she mentions in her description, but also we can see things that are not there. For example, on the right-hand side, the black and white shapes seem to be a woodpecker landing, but I think that is all in my head. She describes the picture, “Winter trees viewed from below the icy pond's surface. Using "miniaturize" filter to give a bit more depth and pop the colors.”

“Awesome Intentions” is an abstract created by looking up from underwater. She really should add it to the Underwater Looking Up group I featured in March. It’s beautifully vibrant. In her description she wrote it was created for a real life abstract art show. Again, she’s looking up at the trees and using various environment settings to change the color and its intensity. You can see how these affect the picture by comparing it to the other one shot the same day and the same place.
“Praying for Autumn” might just be channeling every person in the northern hemisphere this summer. Also created for a show in real life, it is similar to the previous picture, but she made a brighter environment, maybe a hotter one as well. She also used lens flare to heat it up some more. This gives me more of an “I’m melting” feeling than the previous picture which just goes to show how powerful color is in conveying emotion.
GoddessWhispers photostream is more focused on fairies, faeries, and fantasy creatures from above and below sea level. Nonetheless, it was her abstracts that excite me the most. It’s lovely to see wonder abstract pictures created in Second Life.
