Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Thein Ravenhurst’s “We Get What We Deserve” was nearly overlooked as I thought it came from Midjourney. The definition he achieved is amazing.
But then I saw that he wrote, “All credits can be found on my blog!” On his blog? Well, I had to check and he wasn’t blogging his MJ prompts, but his SL clothing items depicted in the image:

In fact, if he weren’t on hiatus, I would recommend following his blog because it’s excellent. Sadly, he’s been on hiatus since April 2022, which feels permanent to me. Still, his stream is full of inventive styling and excellent pics.

“Hold On” shows him as a human emerging from a beetle carapace - an extraordinary metamorphosis. Perhaps this is his natural state, a human-beetle hybrid. I love the way this is lit, the brighter light on the human part of the body, making the carapace a sort of surprise on a closer look.
“I Stand Guilty” is the favorite picture chosen by his followers. He looks as though he is one of the Devil’s Angels. The height of the window and its design makes me think he is in a prison cell which fits with the name of the picture.
Thein Ravenhurst’s stream reveals a fascination with the dimly lit realms of demons and creatures and things that go bump in the night. His avatar’s looks are inventive and original. What a fun photographer. Now, if he would only come back.
