Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
Flo’s “catch up” is a good exemplar of her work - modern, minimalist, and oh-so-graphic. She creates half-tones that seem fresh off the printing press, negative images, duotones, and so much more. With layers and filters, she takes a screenshot and turns it into neo-pop art.

“Avoider” is another great piece. Here she creates a negative image. This is a piece that raises all sorts of questions. Are there two women avoiding each other? Is it one woman avoiding self-reflection? Does she not want to look at one part of her character? I love work that can get my mind racing in circles. This one does.
“Anxious and feral” makes me think of album covers and posters for the teen dances of my youth and the many machinations, plots, and plans for how to get a ride there when none of us had a driver’s license. No one was nearly so artistic, but the color scheme and posterization is so familiar.
It’s impossible to do justice to Flo’s work because it is so varied. She explores one kind of expression and then tries something new and then circles back around and there is no end to her creativity. She also has an older stream with her archives with further evidence of an ever-questing imagination.

Cajsa Lilliehook is a sixteen year resident of Second Life, where she owned a photo studio, spent several years as a DJ at The Velvet, and for her first SL job, cleaned up prim trash. She co-founded and runs the It’s Only Fashion blog with her best friend Gidge Uriza. She also has a book review blog, Tonstant Weader Reviews and a cooking blog, Single Serving Recipes. She spends a lot of time researching and reporting on Republican sexual predators. In her first life, she is a retired grassroots leader who has worked for economic and social justice issues most of her life. She is also the minion of a cat named Nora.
Dies she have an inworld exhibition space? I would live to go and visit it if she dies.
