The woman in this picture doesn't exist, but the embedded Second Life avatar does. SL fashionista Gogo of Juicy Bomb used it as the base for creating the startingly life-like simulacra.
To do this, she uploaded the Second Life screenshot into Leonardo.AI:
Easy to use, free daily credits so you can generate 3-4 images," she explained in a recent Plurk post.
Here's her step-by-step instructions through Leonardo:
- Go to Image Generation, then go to Image Guidance, and drop your photo in the program.
- In Type, write "Image to Image" at the top. You can add "pretty brunette" or something simple, or you can get real detailed.
- Adjust the Strength scale to let Leonardo know how far you want it to deviate from the original image.
- You can also go through previous iterations in the Generation History option.
More info in the Plurk post here. Other SLers have been experimenting with AI on their avatar here, with varying degrees of success. Interestingly, sometimes it's the Second Life avatar which seems more lifelike. And while Gogo's tutorial is for Second Life avatars, I imagine most other platform avatars would generate interesting results.
