Riley Amore is literally getting carried away by her emotions. Is there a better metaphor for Valentine’s Day?
Or so I thought. Then I read up close what her candy hearts said. Oh my.
Still, I love the idea of the metaphor and wondered what other mischief Second Lifers dreamed up for the holiday.

Kim K is done waiting for Cupid to do his job. She’s taking it in hand with her own bow and arrow. “Tonight Your Heart Is Mine” shows us a woman who knows who she wants and sets out to get them. Of course, it could be stalkerish. You never know.
Reign Delicioso’s “Alone with you” put me in mind of those Silhouette Romance covers. The softness, the sunlight, their intense eye contact. She should call them up and see if they’re hiring and hope they haven’t farmed it all out to AI.
Alysha R. Markandeya is “Waiting on a Valentine”. I get two very different impressions from this picture. Have you ever spent so much thought, time, preparation, and perspiration on preparing for something that by the time the hour is struck, you’re exhausted? I could see that happening here. More likely, she’s checked out what things look like through the window and has settled herself to wait for her valentine framed like a jewel in the window. Imagine this scene from outside, the whole room prepared and waiting along with the sultry Alysha. Wouldn’t that be a sight to welcome you?
Porcelain Doll has a different take on Valentine’s Day. She’s not alone. Anti-Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and while it is not talked about as much as before the pandemic. It’s still a thing. You could do an entire day of movies for the anti-Valentinian. (OK, I made up that term.)
Porcelain Doll’s picture reminded me of Bad Romance, my name for a blues set I made when my jazz dJ’ing at The Velvet fell on the 15th. You can listen here. The following year, I did a one-hour set for Valentine’s Day when The Velvet had an all-day party. To listen, click here.
