Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
“Flickr Stats – PRO Accounts – Are you doing more than needed?” is a not to be missed post at SasyScarborough.com written by the aforementioned Sasy Scarborough. Sasy is one of the OG bloggers who set the standard for many years. She’s been on a short hiatus and I, for one, am thrilled that she posted this most recent blog post and not just because it is a topic I feel strongly about -- Flickr and Flickr groups.
When I blogged fashion, I would post my pictures in the store groups for the blogged items, the redhead group, a closeup group and then, if I shot pics somewhere, the group for the sim, usually less than ten groups. Posting in multiple groups, often in response to creator demands, has gone off the rails and sometimes you see someone has posted in over 200 groups. With that big a net, do you think it’s possible for the blogger to respect the purpose of the group? There’s my pet peeve, fashion pictures in groups devoted to cats, birds, fish, rainbows, etc.
But Sasy looked at the issue from a statistical perspective to see if all that effort pays off.
One of her key findings: Most of the actual views of your Flickr images are from your own personal Flickr feed -- not from images you post to SL groups on Flickr.
For much more on her stats, check out her full post.

Wings & Zibska is a post from Hair Fair, an annual event Sasy organizes for Wigs for Kids. I love the delicacy of the headpiece by Zibska and the flyaway romanticism of the hair. Note the effort Sasy puts into describing what she likes about them and providing details about options that are available such as being able to change the headpiece colors and decide how flyaway you want those tendrils of hair to be. Providing information beyond a picture and a link is rare nowadays. Some of it, I am sure, is due to the international quality of Second Life. A picture blog is more universal than one with text, but that’s what your Translate extension is for.

Now Sasy is one of my oldest friends. She was the CSR for Digit Darkes whose clothes Gidge, my blog partner, and I were addicted to. Sasy invited us to Digit’s birthday party and several friendships began that day more than fifteen years ago.
I am thrilled to see a new post from her after several months absence. That it is so informative is the cherry on top. Her blog is a model of consideration for her readers. She includes the most complete credits of anyone I know, even including the HUDs she uses. Her about page tells you the highlights of her work now. The top of the sidebar shows you all the ways to follow her. She’s been doing this awhile.

Thank you so much for this post Cajsa♥ I appreciate it very much, and all the extra - blushing now. I am very grateful to have been able to meet you and Gidge, and everyone else over the years in Second Life you have added to my life in many ways.
