Cajsa Lilliehook covers the best in virtual world screenshot art and digital painting
We usually feature SL fashion bloggers on Friday to help readers plan their weekend fun, but here's some style ideas from ongoing shopping events happening right now:
Isabella G is a Flickr microblogger. In “Ison for Collabor88” she highlights a skirt/top combo from ISON at Collabor88. Her hair is fierce and I wondered where she got it. I wasn’t the only one, someone asked in the comments and she explained it was called Escape and made by Elikatira from back in 2010. I love that she recognizes that our pixel closet doesn’t wear out. Speaking of not wearing out, that outfit from ISON is a fresh take on a classic skirt suit. The sleeves go past the wrist and the skirt panel incorporates the once-dreaded pantyline into the design.

“Lux Clutch by Yorke” is a picture of just that. I love her hair, but it is not credited. Could it be another pre-mesh style? That koi dress is also lovely and also not credited. They are, of course, a perfect match for the purse. The hair parting so it’s only on one side makes the pose that shows off the purse possible. In terms of styling, it’s perfect. I just with she credited more than one thing.
Isabella G is a fantastic stylist and photographer whose microblog on Flickr is full of stunning fashion. Like all the best bloggers, she wears clothes, not just lingerie. Her blog is about style, not seeing how much skin she can expose. Her style is very classic chic with a dash of spice and cheeky reinterpretations. I love that she digs things from the back of her closet, not forgetting the old in the never-ending flood of the new.
I do wish she credited at least the main pieces in her outfits, though. It depends on who the blog is for. If it’s for the designers who send you promotional items, then it’s sensible to highlight them, though some designers won’t add a blogger who has never credited them. If it’s for yourself, then just reminding yourself of the outfit highlights makes sense. But if it’s for your readers, then you really should include all the main items. Besides, that makes it even more interesting. I think it’s fascinating that Isabella is still using 2010 hair. That blending of old and new is a fabulous fashion story and could be a feature setting her apart from the crowd. But she would have to tell us that she did it.
